SYSTEMS PSYCHOLOGY

Systems Psychology are a team of chartered Educational Psychologists. We offer a unique and personalised consultation based psychology service. Our shared vision nurtures change by building effective and supportive relationships with others. We offer a holistic approach, which supports prevention and early intervention

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy and approach to the delivery of psychological services includes listening to our clients, and taking into account societal and cultural factors, as well as up to date legislative frameworks. In addition to individual assessment and intervention we focus on supporting the resilience and growth of systems which support children and their education, including the family and education settings.

We have experience of working with the most vulnerable groups and can advise education settings, based on current research, on effective strategies and approaches for supporting children and their development. We can offer training packages for a wide range of different needs, and also develop more bespoke and individualised training packages through consultation.

We work with respect, transparency and integrity, and fundamentally believe that the development of relationships are the platform to support growth and change within increasingly demanding contexts.

INDIVIDUALS

Educational Psychologists, with expertise in child development, work with families and educational settings (0-25yrs) to support children and young people. Through a collaborative consultation based approach, we aim to identify specific needs and work with those around the child to support development and learning. We are skilled at working within multi-professional teams to support the holistic needs of schools, families and individuals.

Applying a systemic approach, we will consider the environmental influence of the child. We may carry out a range of psychological assessments, and/or use solution oriented consultation to identify support strategies, next steps and outcomes. We offer a range of psychological interventions and can support with person centred planning.

We can offer support for families and schools and offer individualised training for those working with the child/young person.

SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION SETTINGS

We believe in the importance of targeting whole school development to support all children and families, as educational establishments are central to supporting the wider community. We offer bespoke packages of support for educational establishments which we develop and centre around individual needs. We work with educational organisations to promote well-being and learning for all, this can include training, or targeted support developed in line with the needs of the educational establishment.

We offer high quality psychological advice and support to promote resilience, well-being and to create psychologically healthy school environments. We can offer support for schools to implement changing legislation around mental health and well-being, specifically primary prevention, early intervention and mental health provisions.

We can support to develop and implement Development Plans and can work with schools in relation to Ofsted Readiness. We are skilled in supporting schools with the implementation of the new Code of Practice.

Systems Psychology aims to adopt a team around the child approach. This involves working with parents and families, as well as educational staff, to establish a good understanding of the children and young people we are working with.

We are able to offer family work to support understanding, interactions and relationships. This will be based on need and determined through consultation.
